Just thought I'de mention that the Chinese person I mentioned in the outset, who tought me and still teaches me alot of Chinese, whispered ME first. That's right. I went to Int Dis 1 of Ember Light Camp and said some stuff in Chinese trad, introducing myself. He whispered me and said "Hi. Where you from?"

While I've noted that hes always on while I am, I've also noticed that it's always the same person becuase he always recognizes me, has the same attitude and continues to translate things for me in the same manner and, appearently, dialect.

He told me that Chinese people try to sell in Chinese is becuase their main audience targets those who are Chinese. Why they do this in the American districts? I don't understand myself. It could be that alot of them just don't play in the International Districts. I know that from, say, Hati I wouldn't play in the Int servers just becuase I'm not on a peice of that is considered to be North America.

Also, the ones that do speak English you probably wouldn't know the differnce anyway. I'm sure it's pretty easy to pick out if you know the people and their sentence structure, but not to those who don't know anything about it.

Having just read this whole thread.. I feel like my brain just drained itself...

Bots, Naions, and Dialects? Oh my! This thread seems to be nothing but a whole Naionality fight and the difference in how people talk or use their original language... I was curious about bots in general... Not what kind they are or who's running them.. -.o; I mean... seriously it's good to have your pride in your country and defending it. But it's a little true that there ARE bots in the game. Okay so Chinese "Bots" are actual people that happen to play a lot and prefer to use their own language... Okie Dokie that's one's opinion...count...one. So there are many people that seem like bots but that doesn't change the fact there are still Chinese bots or French or whatever. The whole thing about defending one's originality/nationality is pretty stupid in general... in a video game some people may be obsessed with..

Okay it's wrong to say "ALL BOTS ARE CHINESE THAT'S BAD!" Yes I can understand anyone getting pissed about that... (Even though it's still just a game) I'm just surprised that this whole thread went upside down simply because of misunderstanding, editing, quoting, and judging...

2. I don't have any Chinese relitives
3. I have no ties with the Chinese at all, neither had I really had any desire to learn the Chinese language untill all this whining about how we should ban all the Chinese people started.
3. I'm not mad about people saying that there are Chinese bots or that all Bots are Chinese (Which I have yet to hear, exactly). I'm mad about people saying that all Chinese people in the game are bots.

The thread was meant to be about how not all Chinese people are botting.

First off: it's spelled either naïf or naive. Actually, naïf is a more elegant way to spell it, since the french (original) word is, in fact, "naïf" (and naïve when referred to a woman). That was a personal point.

Secondly, no one's saying all bots are Chinese, for 3 reasons:

1- It's an obtuse statement
2- It's an obtuse statement
3- Many bots are "pre-scripted" and downloaded "as they are" from pay sites.

Not every botter is also a programmer, of course, only a minority is.

Slang. The proper way of saying is "ming bu ming" because once you use "bu," there's no need to use "ma." Even then, your usage of "bai" is unnecessary just like my usage of "ma." While they teach that "bai" in official texts, it isn't a necessary addition to the sentence and should you ask any Chinese professor, they'd say it's just a filler sentence ender. If you ever talked on a phone with a person using Chinese, we use all sorts of filler sentence enders depending on our dialects. And if you're curious, my main dialect is Cantonese.

The Guangzhou region is rather vast and large. I'm Cantonese, but I'm from a village called Taishan. Cantonese, though being a dialect of Chinese, has dialects from within itself. These are contrasts I've noticed when speaking with relatives.

Variations of "ming bu ming bai/ma"
Baisha Variation: ming bu ming a?
Saigao Variation: ming bu ming de?
Huangshan Variation: minb bu ming gu?

The slang added to the end of those sentences often have no meaning and are often used to soften the pitch of the sentence. Whatever the case, the botting problems with Sagius seemed to have cleared so I'll leave this thread alone for now.
